November Tiffin: Baking Blind – Re-Run!
Due to cancellation of the Baking Blind Tiffin, I am rescheduling it for Friday November 16th at 10am at my house.
Please call or email to confirm attendance (even if you had booked on for last time!) as the maximum number is 15 ladies.
A little advance information: the December Tiffin will be a Cookie Exchange, like last year. This was very successfully run last year with all the ladies bring a sample of cookies and recipes to exchange with each other. We arrived with one kind of cookie and left with many sorts!! Let me know if you are interested in being a part of that and we can start organising this.
Please remember that if you want to share recipes with other members of the OWC and the Tiffin Club, please email them to me and we can pass them on.

Mahjong for Beginners
Come learn the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong!
What is Mahjong? It is a game typically played by 4 people (although 3 people can easily play) using a set of tiles similar to those used in Dominoes. The main difference being that mahjong tiles have Chinese symbols and characters on them. Don't worry though...you won't have to learn how to read Chinese in order to play! Nor will you have to learn how to speak Chinese either!
A beginner's mahjong get together will take place on Tuesday, October 16, from 1pm to 3pm at the home of Norah McParlane. Her address is:
103B The Laurels59 & 60 C P Ramaswamy RoadAlwarpet
This will be a fun filled afternoon, and mahjong will be taught in a very simple manner. Come meet other Chennai expat women and learn this fun game!
